We take students starting at age 5 (we have some that have started a little younger, but at that age, its very dependent on the child), but there is NO upper limit to starting this journey. It is never too late to start! Learning a classical art form is good for the mind, body and soul! It provides physical fitness, helps sharpen one's brain and teaches discipline.
Our studio is located in the Medical Center, (inside of Studio Co).

We have various class times, please contact us so we can match you into an appropriate class.
We offer a FREE initial trial class for your first time, and once you fall in love with kathak, our monthly tuition is $60/per month. We ask all students to formally register and complete initial paperwork in order to continue their learning with us.
Willingness, curiosity and dedication to learning is the main requirement.
All registered students will need a pair of proper kathak ghungroos (ankle bells- please check with us prior to purchasing a pair! Kathak requires different ones than other Indian dance forms) and a notebook designated for this class. We ask students come to every class with their ghungroos, notebook, hair pulled back, proper attire (comfortable clothing to dance in, no shorts, no jeans) and a water bottle.
Look up kathakbells_handmadecreations on instagram! They are located in Houston and make wonderful kathak ghungroos by hand. For adults, 100 bells per side is a good size and for children, 50-75 bells per side is appropriate.
While our primary focus is to teach the dance form, we are very involved in the San Antonio performing arts community and love to showcase this beautiful art form. If you are interested and willing to commit there will be lots of opportunities to perform.
We have performances around San Antonio all the time! Diwali SA, Dream Week, Joy to the World, Asian Festival are just few. See our Facebook page or our website at the bottom for upcoming events (we are admittedly not great about updating the website!)
